Halloween decor

It's the eve of Halloween and I am so excited about the holidays! I am finally posting my holiday decor photos. I didn't put everything out this year, I felt like keeping it simple.

My wreath from last year sits at the front door:

Here's my Halloween village. I tried to get a better shot and this is really the best that I could do. This year I bought a base for the village:

And, of course, my Sweetheart added Darth Vader:

My B-O-O frame with my chrome ghost:

My witch shoes and my witch plate:

I thought this was cute, I printed the date and framed it:

I love this Beware sign:

And one of my favorites, the witch shoes:

(the jar was filled with candies but my nephews came in and ate most of it)

And I adore this cute little coffin that I got at Hobby Lobby:

Happy Halloween!

Game 3, Cards vs. Steelers

We knew going in that it would be a tough game. But still, I had hoped for a win. The end score was 32-20, Pittsburgh.

Outside of the loss, we had a great time. There were so many Pittsburgh fans at the game, it was truly unbelievable. The Red Sea had turned yellow on one side of the stadium. While the other side had yellow specs throughout. The fans were many, but they were nice and respectful.

Prayer before the game, always warms my heart:

The coin toss:

There's big Ben:

#86 Hines Ward:

#43 Troy Polamolu, he was pretty fierce:

We take on the St. Louis Rams on November 6th. Let's go Cardinals!

Spooky

Well, not really. It's a more cute than spooky. But that's more my style, spooky and I don't really agree. :)

I can not believe it is one week until Halloween. I have had my Halloween decor out since October 1st. It's been so busy in the Paw Prints household that I have not had a chance to take pictures, download and post. It's been C-R-A-Z-Y busy! My goal is to get my pictures posted by next weekend....we'll see how that goes.

Meanwhile, I found this site called "Beeclip" where I can make collages. I've always been a fan of collages so when I found this I was thrilled. I'm wanting to collage the heck out of every single picture I have. Which I won't do, but I seriously want to.

Naboo

Boo Boo has a hard time with pictures. She won't sit still and smile like Grievie does. She spots me with the camera and immediately runs to me.

These are pretty cute shots of her:

Randomness

I was under the weather this weekend. What I thought was allergies turned into a very nasty cold. My Sweetheart spent all weekend catering to me and trying to make me comfortable.

We spent Sunday watching football all day. Grievous and my Sweetheart always sit together:

This happens to be Grievie's favorite TV watching position:

Naboo loves to lay her body in her bed and her head on the cool floor:

Just a typical Sunday at our house!

Manager's Choice Award

We had our annual awards ceremony this week at work. And for the second time, I was the recipient of the Manager's Choice Excellence Award! I was so excited and feel so honored to have been chosen. I am one of those people that are really motivated by such recognition. So I'm pretty much on cloud nine....

Game 2, Cards vs. Giants

Game day is always a blast! Game two of the at-home regular season was this past Sunday. We were up against the NY Giants and I knew it would be a tough game. Kickoff was at 1:10 and we got to the stadium parking lot at 10:00 a.m. and were ready to tailgate!

I have a difficult time remembering to take pictures of everything. I asked my Sweetheart to remind me to take photos. I think I did a little better this time.

We started off with out tailgating in the Green-F lot. As we get there, fans are already set up and ready to start the tailgate party:

These guys were set up across from where we were set up. They are hard-core tailgaters. They had the neatest set-up with a misting system, and a sweet cooking station. They were really nice and invited us over to party with them:

These guys were our neighbors to the right. They were having a blast; hanging out, drinking beer, eating and tossing around the football:

Here's my Sweetheart:
Inside the stadium, I took some pre-game pictures. This is the only exciting one. That's Eli Manning:
Some field action. There's Larry Fitzgerald,#11, on the far right:

More field action:
Pictures of the Giants:

We have pretty decent seats:

So, I've determined that I need to take more pictures. Also, when I take a picture, I need to know why I'm taking the picture so I can properly caption it....

Here's me and my Sweetheart in our Cards gear:

We lost the game. It was 31-27. It was close game, down to the last couple of minutes. It is heartbreaking to say the least.

Next game is against the Steelers on October 23rd. Let's go CARDS!

project 1 - seasonal frame

I'm trying to pace myself. I generally have a project on top of a project buried underneath a project (which my Sweetheart just pointed out). I have one week to get my decorations out so I keep telling myself to pace myself....I do not need to get it all done at once. Why is that so easy to say but so hard to do???

Here's project number one. Actually, it's project number two. Project number one was a crash and burn so I moved on. This is the picture frame that I switch out from season to season (Easter and valentines day here).

I think it looks really cool:

I bought this set of four votive candle holders at Walmart. The silhouette is black velvet.

I love the orange polka dote paper:

One to project number three.

Getting the Halloween Decor out...

It's so hard for me to believe that's it's already Fall. I begged Sweetheart to get my Halloween bins out this morning. I'm so excited to start putting out Halloween decor. Is it to early? Of course not!

I stopped by Hobby Lobby this morning to pickup a few items for some projects. I had a 40% off coupon that I used to buy this oh so cute mini coffin:

I also bought this 1"x12"x36" piece of Styrofoam. I want to make a platform for my Halloween village. I am not exactly sure what I'm going to do but I'm thinking black spray paint to start.

These 4" wooden letters that I will embellish:

I figure if I start now I can have all my decorations and projects out by October 1st -- which is always my deadline. I'd better get started!

Game 1, Cards vs Panthers

Wow, what a great time we had on Sunday! The game started at 1:10pm so we got to the stadium at 10:00 a.m. Yes, 10:00 a.m. Our plan was to tailgate (EAT) then as soon as we could get into the stadium, we would pack up and go in, generally about 1 hour prior to kick-off.

So here we are in our parking spot. It was a nice breezy day, but boy out in the Arizona sun it gets hot really quick! We are planning on buying a Cardinals tent for our next home game on October 1st.

We had a nice little set up, we got a great spot and just enjoyed people watching as we sat and ate and drank -- Sweetheart had beer, I had Dr. Pepper:

I made some Italian Hoagies and a 7 layer dip:

At about 11:45 we entered the stadium and waited for the teams to come out to practice. We are a strange pair -- we both LOVE going to a game an hour before to watch the warm up and we stay until the very end (regardless of the outcome) and watch the stadium clear out. It's all part of the experience!

Here come the ARIZONA CARDINALS! I love when the players come out of the tunnel!

And just as important as the players is BIG RED and the Flag dudes!

Just after they introduced the players, there was a memorial in remembrance of 9/11/01. It was the standard memorial that was shown throughout the NFL yesterday. It was extremely touching. After the memorial, there was a moment of silence, that was truly amazing because the roar of the stadium became silent without anyone really giving a queue to quiet down. As this beautiful, giant flag made it's way across the field, the noise stopped and every one just stood there, silent and vowing to never forget that dreadful day:

Mini flags were handed to everyone upon entering the stadium and as Jordan Sparks sang the Star Spangled Banner, the flags were waving, the crowd was cheering and there was a wonderful sense of unity in the house. It was absolutely amazing:

My thoughts and prayers were with the families of those who perished in the 9/11 attacks.

I will always be thankful to the men and women who serve our country.

***I will always remember 9/11/01 ***

I will always BE PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!

Once the game started, it was dig deep time. We were up against the Carolina Panthers and Cam Newton. Refer to the sign below, my sentiments exactly:

And there's BIG RED, doing what he does best. Getting the crowd on their feet:
This was the end of the game. I forget to get pictures during the game. It's just too exciting! My Sweetheart has to remind me to get pictures for my scrapbook! The end of the game, we stopped them in the end zone. We took over at the 4 yard line...or something like that....just past the 2 minute warning. By that time the crowd was on it's feet, everyone was yelling and screaming and pounding! The Cards stopped Cam. The Cards were victorious!!!

Honestly, I was prepared for a loss. I talked myself into being a good sport. Whew, it was a close one! Here's me and my Sweetheart, fooling around:

Next home game is against the Giants. Let's go Cards, we can take those Giants!!!
