Game 7 Cards vs. 49ers ~MNF~

Monday Night Football!  Need I say more?

There was so much excitement this game, I took the least amount of photos ever and the photos I did take were all horrible.   There were too many distractions!   First of all, we were getting our butts kicked the entire time so the need to yell and scream to possibly cause a FALSE START/DELAY OF GAME penalty became priority -- screaming for the defense is my favorite part of being in the stands.  Second, it was Halloween week so there were plenty of fans dressed in costumes.  Sweetheart and I were one of them!  Sweetheart dressed as Demon (Gene Simmons) and I dressed as Star Child (Paul Stanley)....CARDINALS STYLE!

We both wore the usual Cards gear but we colored our faces with red and white paint (Card colors).  Sweetheart even wore a wig!  We had a blast!  Everyone loved it!  ESPN was on site due to it being MNF -- we had a photographer take a picture of us and ask us our names -- we're still waiting to see where that shows up.    We were shown on the big screen quite a few times which was pretty exciting!

BUT, I didn't get any pictures because of all of the excitement. This one picture is one I took in the car on our way to the stadium.  Geez......

Here's some shots of I really don't know what...

Here's a picture of Alex Smith, 49er's QB:

The kickers:

The roof was open which was especially exciting because it was a beautiful night!  The roof is generally not open until the end of the season because it's usually like 180 degrees outside...I'm not joking:

The moon was out and peeking over the stadium:

49er's head coach, Jim Harbaugh:

One of the only pictures of play action that was half decent:

And there you go.  One of the most exciting nights of the regular season and I forgot to get pictures!  Alas, we are now 4-4.  But I still love my CARDS!

Next home game is on November 25th against the Rams.

Go CARDS!

Halloween Decor

Come on in for a tour of the Halloween decor:

I used the wreath that I made about 2 years ago.  It's holding up well:

This is the entrance way table.  Simple but cute (I think):

I love these Jack-O-Lantern bells that I got at Micheal's a few weeks ago:

And these are my favorite!  Little witch shoes that hold my tea lights:

Darth Vader courtesy of Sweetheart..

I love the "queen of Halloween" sign...

This picture is fuzzy but I like the Beware sign:

The witch hat is paper mache; I painted it black and added the poka dots and the ribbon:

I just realized I left the cat's tail off the picture...

And since we don't have a mantel, I try to emulate the feel of one by decorating this shelf the way you would a mantel.  It makes sense in my head

Sweetheart told me he liked this hall table so I added it to the pictures to post:

I didn't put my Halloween village up this year.  It's a daunting task and I wasn't up for it.  Instead, I decorated this tree with black and orange ornaments:

And this is our Beta, Troy Aikman.  His bowl normally sits on a white pedestal but for Halloween he gets a black one and a little ghost that sits by him:

These guys are all part of the media center:

On the kitchen table, I just added a pile of bones on black and orange leaves:

I kept the cat in the frame (from last year) and added the coffin and pumpkins:

We sure do!

I had my decor out about 2 1/2 weeks ago but getting the pictures taken, downloaded and posted have been a chore.  Some are fuzzy and not great shots but I figured I was running out of time.
I LOVE Halloween since it's the kickoff to the holidays.  Right after Halloween I'll get my Thanksgiving decor out and then after Thanksgiving the Christmas decorating will be under way.

Happy Halloween!!

Game 6 - Cards vs. Bills

It was a tough loss.  Let's just say my Cardinals made me cry.  We were so close.  But "any given Sunday", am I right?

For Game 6, Sweetheart got his hands on tickets to the company suit.   So instead of sitting in our season seats, we got a view from above as we feasted on great ball game grub and had a cocktail (or two)....

I should have taken a picture of the seats, which Sweetheart reminded me to do several times but I was so distracted by the food, wine and gifts.   They were cushioned and oh so comfortable!

Here's the pictures I managed to get (when I remembered):

Love the picture on the screen.  I want this on my work phone.

This would have been all the more awesome had we won:

Because I can never get too many shots of the Red Zone:

I completely missed the praying at the end zone before the game but I got a shot of the praying that the players do at the end of each game.  This is special because players from both teams take a knee together:

Check out the handheld device they gave us to watch replays and other games on:

These are the flag guys hard at work after a touch down!

As always, stalking Big Red:

During half time we went down to our seats to talk with our season ticket holder buddies (they sit in front of us) to discuss the MNF game against the 49er's.  It's going to be two days before Halloween and we plan on dressing up.  Anyway, as we left the area and made it back towards the suit, there were like a million people in the concession area so in his usual fashion, Sweetheart grabbed my hand and plowed the way.

This is all I saw as I made it through the crowd:

I saw a guy wearing a Doug Flutie jersey and tried to get a picture but I was literally being pulled through the crowd:

Oh and I saw these guy wearing cool buffalo hats:
Back to the suite.  This is the bathroom.  It's cardinal RED with a soft white light that makes it feel like you're in the bathroom of a strip club.  I'm just saying...

The Suite:

Oh, and this was one of my gifts:

Next game is against the Vikings.

GO BIG RED!

It's time for Halloween decorations!

I was so excited to get my Halloween stuff up!
I begged Sweetheart to get my bins from the garage on Thursday evening.
He did it for me Friday after work and I got to it.

Sneak a peek:

Diamondbacks Dugout

This past weekend was a sports-filled weekend!  We went to the Diamondbacks game on Friday night after work.  Sweetheart tells me on Wednesday that one of his vendors gave him tickets to the game.  I thought cool, I love going to the games.  Then Sweetheart tells me the tickets are for the 3rd base dugout suite.  Yes, the dug out suite, which is connected to the Diamondbacks dugout.  It was an amazing experience.

We were field level, so we got to watch the game from the same view as the players.  We got to sit next to the players.  Before the national anthem played, we were allowed to talk to them and ask them for autographs which we totally did.

Here's the bobblehead guys walking around the field:

#10 Justin Upton before the game:

This is #16 John McDonald signing one of our balls:

#10 Justin Upton signing our ball:

Miguel Montero, #26, the object of my affection.....

Not sure who this is:

Miguel Montero again.

And again...

During the National Anthem:

Oh look, there's Miguel Montero again

and again...
and again....

and again....

Oh, one more:

#31 Ian Kennedy after he was pulled from the game, he was not a happy camper:

It turns out that I chased Miguel Montero away with my stalking iPhone.  So here's Upton again:

Pitcher #36 Wade Miley:

The catcher Wil Nieves #27

#18 Willie Bloomquist was SO nice!  He sat and talked with me and Sweetheart (well with Sweetheart) and gave us what he called "rally gum".   It worked too, the Dbacks won!    He was a real stand up guy that was very genuine and sincere.

What a wonderful night at the ball park!
