Floor Project Underway!

I am so excited! This weekend, we are having tile installed throughout the house. It's been a project that has been on our 'to-do list' for some time. My sweetheart had this house built in 2000 so the house is 10 years old. The house has had the same builder grade carpeting and flooring for 10 years! It was time for a change!

Last year, we decided to upgrade the backyard before we tackled the floor. Mostly because we figured that the empty back yard that was just dirt and rocks (and mud when it rained) was being brought inside the house via General Grievous. So we wanted the backyard done before the floors were installed because we didn't want dirt, rocks and mud on our new floors!

So now, it's time for the floors! I have a TON of pictures to show but our office is filled with furniture so I can't get to my laptop to download the pics.

Weekend Wrap Up

What a great weekend we had! Our unexpected change of plans really gave us some much needed 'at home' time. I was able to get so much done around the house!

I was able to run some errands on Saturday and found this pillow at SteinMart. Goes well with my apple green theme in the living room:



And I bought the brown charger at Hobby Lobby and the yellow bird plate at Pier 1:



It finished off my yellow/green theme in the dinning room:


My Sweetheart ran to the grocery store for me so I could stay home and finish my last load of laundry. He's such a sweetheart. Actually for the past 2 weeks he has made the grocery run for me. I just put a list together and he brings it all home! That gives me time to finish my housework. What a lucky gal I am!
