A Card for Todd

My good friend and colleague is moving to San Antonio this week. A few of us at work chipped in to buy him a farewell gift. Marcia wrapped the gift in black and white polka dot gift wrap. I was in charge of the card. Instead of buying one, I made one for him.

My inspiration was the black and white polka dot:

The inside:

Gook luck Todd!

We will all MISS YOU!

Christmas Cards

What a great Thanksgiving day we had! We were fortunate enough to be able to spend time with both of our families. We spent the first half of the day in Phoenix with My Sweetheart's family then we drove 90 miles to Tucson to spend the second half of the day with my family. It was a great day!

I spend Friday relaxing. Oh, I did manage to get up at 5:30 a.m. to go 'black Friday bargain shopping'. It was a bit of a bust. I went to Target, Michael's and Kohls. I got good deals at all three places but I gave up after that. There were so many people and the checkout lines were crazy! I came home and decided to just relax the rest of the day. And that I did!

Today, I decided to get a head start on my Christmas cards. I've been sending out handmade cards for three years now. I'm getting better and better each year!

I made a quick trip to Joanne's to buy some scrap booking supplies. I started by cutting out my cards and the background piece:

Then My Sweetheart and I worked on the inside. He always helps me put together our message:

It took me about 30 minutes to cut all the separate pieces to my ornament using my Cricket Expression:

It took me about 2 hours to get everything glued on:

When I finally finished the ornament, I glued it to my card:

The end product looked pretty good:

Now all I have to do is type out my mailing labels which I will do this week. My goal is to have my cards in the mail by December 1st.

I am spending all day tomorrow putting away the Thanksgiving decor and pulling out the Christmas decor. I'm excited!

A Graduation Card

My nephew Chevy graduated from junior high school on Wednesday. My sister is having a dinner for him on Saturday to celebrate his accomplishment. I just had to make a card for him. I used the guitars because he LOVES music and guitars. He has an acoustic and electric guitar which he loves playing.

Here's the front:
And here's the inside. I included his school name, mascot and graduation date on the inside of the card:

Oh, and Grievous helped:

Congratulations on being promoted to 9th grade Chevy! We are all very proud of you!

Thank you card

My Sweetheart's colleague went to Italy on vacation and was kind enough to bring us back some souvenirs! My absolute favorite is this rosary that he brought us from his visit to The Vatican. The rosary was blessed by Pope Benedict XVI. It's simply beautiful.

I crafted up a little Thank You card to show him my appreciation.

Thank you Mark for being so thoughtful!!

Birthday Card Time

It's my Aunt Mary's birthday tomorrow so we are heading down to Tucson for her birthday dinner. I hope she likes the card I made for her! It's one of my favorites. It's a bit hard to see the stamp I used but it reads: May your birthday be as special as you are. Aunt Mary is very special to us, we can't wait to celebrate with her!

I always look forward to the ride to Tucson. It gives me and My Sweetheart two whole hours of alone time. Good times!

Birthday Cards

It was my Sweetheart's birthday on March 9th. I took a picture of all the wonderful cards he received. He is blessed to have so many people that care about him!

I made a special card for my Sweetheart. It's the one right behind the one with the two dogs in it. I also made the cards below.

For my cousin:

For her daughter:

We are off to Tucson tomorrow to deliver presents and cards. Looking forward to the drive so I can spend quality time talking and singing with my Sweetheart!

Have a great week!!
